Xerox Ducati's Noriyuki Haga is to undergo surgery on a fractured vertebrae he suffered during a horror crash at Coppice Corner during the second World Superbike race at Donington Park.

The Japanese rider was airflifted to Derby hospital where a team of surgeons will carry out surgery on his back injury and also evaluate a possible broken wrist and shoulder blade.
