Stephanie Waddelow sped away with the 2008 MRO Superteen Championship title in only her second year of racing a 125cc.

The sixteen year old from Ealing that has stunned many throughout the season with her talent racked up 17 wins on the SS Signal UK Racing Aprilia 125cc with still another four races to go at the final round at Snetterton mid September.

Waddelow who started racing in 2002 on minimotos progressed into the 125cc category last season, but thanks to a sponsorship deal and better machinery this season her talent has dazzled.  Now six years on, she holds a 125cc Championship Trophy, a couple of months after sitting her GCSE’s.  Waddelow said: “I am quite pleased, it is a high championship, I had to play catch up.”

Even though there is still one more round of the MRO category to go, Stephanie will be going with the usual racer determination, to win.  Waddelow is truly addicted to racing and for her the season is not over till its over.

She will no doubt make her mark when she also competes at the final round of British Superbike’s this year riding a KRP125 within the GP125.  Hopefully this will raise her profile along with her financial support whilst taking her ability to the next level.

To widen her options she also aims to test ride a 600, Graham Waddelow, Stephanie’s father said: “Our first choice would be to go to GP125 with a top team, you need the best equipment because if you are not running in the top ten you don’t get noticed.  It all comes down to funding and we will try to get more sponsors.”

“The other option is to try a 600, this route is cheaper, but depends on how she gets on with it.  We won’t be doing the Aprilia series again, Stephanie is fed up with them, she says they are too slow.  Whatever happens Steve [Shepherd] and Signal are sticking with us next year, thanks to them.”

There are many that believe and want to see Waddelow at British level competing with the best, for further information or to enquire regarding sponsorship log onto www.flossyracing.co.uk.
