Reigning Britsh Superbike champ Leon Camier has said his fight to secure a spot in the Aprilia World Superbike team for 2010 alongside Max Biaggi is looking positive and he is waiting for the team to "sort out a couple of things their end".

The Kent youngster has just finished a fairly unsuccessful test session at Misano which was hampered by appalling conditions where the track was neither wet nor dry, giving Camier no chance to put in any decent lap times.

"The conditions were miserable. I went out on wets but theey just chewed themselves up and using slicks was just like riding on ice. The mist just made the track damp enough not to be able to use either tyre," said Camier, speaking to bikesportnews.com from Italy this morning.

"We only did a small amount of laps so I couldn't really get to grips with changing anything on the bike. But it is what it is. A ride with the team is looking really positive at the moment. We're just waiting for them to sort out a couple of things their end and, hopefully, it should be done."
