Reigning British Superbike Champion Leon Camier has been confirmed as Max Biaggi's team-mate in the factory Aprilia World Superbike team for 2010 after some impressive race and test performances.

The Kent youngster was up against some stiff opposition to get the ride, including MotoGP star Alex De Angelis and his own team-mate from last year Shane Byrne, but his race pace and commitment during testing ensured Camier got one of the world's hottest seats.

"I'm on top of the world at the moment, it's great to be on the factory bike and it's were I want to be for next year," said Camier, speaking to bikesportnews.com.

"I have been tearing my hair out for the last few weeks, wondering whether I would get the ride and it's a massive relief to know where I will be and who I have in my team.

"We are going testing at Valencia early next month, and Portimao I think, so I will be able to get the bike more how I want it. I can't ride it like the Yamaha at the moment, but I will modify my riding style and change the bike to suit.

"Once we get that sorted, I think we will be able to run at the front. There are a couple of tracks I don't know but Ben (Spies) and Cal (Crutchlow) have proved this year that shouldn't be a problem."
