RLR LOOK FOR BACKING TO SECURE THUNDERSPORT SEASON

RLR Motorsport are looking for additional backing in order to be able to compete for the Thundersport Moto450 title this season.

The team, which comprises Ricky Leddy and Steve Tomes, came second in 2009 and believe their bike is good enough to win the series but they need the last part of their budget before they can commit.

“The bike just got better and better as we developed it throughout 2009 and it is definitely one of the best I have ever ridden. Ricky and I both believe the bike is good enough to win the 2010 Thundersport GB title and all we need now is some additional backing to help us turn that belief into reality," said Tomes.

“Fortunately unlike other pure racing bikes such as a 125 or a 250 our bike doesn’t cost a fortune to run and so we aren’t looking for vast sums from either a single sponsor or several smaller ones.

“The ThundersportGB series is televised so it offers the chance of getting some TV promotion and advertising while the bike itself is a blank canvas that can be painted in any colour the sponsor chooses.”
