Dundrod 150: Vernon 'critical' after Superbike crash

Lee Vernon has been described as 'critical' this evening

Lee Vernon has been hospitalised in Belfast following his accident at Rock Bends in today's Dundrod 150 Superbike race and his condition is described as critical. Details are sketchy at this time but the organising club have issued the following statement:

"The Dundrod & District Motorcycle Club can confirm that Lee Vernon has sustained critical injuries following an incident during the Superbike race at the Dundrod 150 road races.

"The nature and extent of his injuries are being assessed at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. Further information will be issued in due course."
