Moto3 star Danny Kent has been using boxing training to increase his levels of aggression which he will need if Red Bull Ajo team-mate Sandro Cortese employs similar tactics at the rest of the season's race as he did at Assen.

Cortese crashed into the side of Kent as he tried to pass the youngster during the late stages of the Dutch race, causing the Tetbury teenager to lose the front of his KTM on his way into the Geert Timmer chicane, a move he described as 'stupid' after the race.

"It was a bit of a silly move but at those speeds, you can't suddenly turn the bike. I can see where he is coming from but I think it was a bit stupid because he sort of picked the bike up and pushed me wide. We were lucky to stay on," said Kent, speaking to bikesportnews.com.

"I have done a lot of boxing training to try and get my aggression up and it seemed to work in that race. I think I'm going to do some more and get it higher. It feels really good to know we can run with the leading group. It's definitely a confidence booster."
