Gearlink Kawasaki's Ben Wilson completed a superlative Motorpoint British Supersport double victory this afternoon at Knockhill, backing up his first win of the year yesterday. Local star, Stuart Easton, took second and the championship lead.

Wilson took the holeshot and opened out a two second advantage after just two laps, eventually stretching out to three seconds. The Lincoln rider was untouchable throughout the race and completed his first double win since Cadwell Park in 2011.

The battle for the final podium places was fought more fiercely, with Wilson's Gearlink teammate, Alastair Seeley, opening out a comfortable second advantage over the chasing pack at half race distance. However, Scotsman Stuart Easton was making his way through the field, chasing down Smiths Triumph's Billy McConnell and passing him on the brakes into the final corner.

The Mar-Train Yamaha rider, at his home track, then set his sights on Alastair Seeley ahead, catching the Northern Irishmen with ease. Easton passed Seeley in similar fashion to the way in which he dispatched McConnell, out braking him into the final hairpin.

Seeley then came under further trouble in the final laps, with Adelaide rider, McConnell, passing the championship leader with just two laps left. The North West 200 star was unable to retaliate and settled for fourth, with McConnell securing another podium finish. Leaving Knockhill, Easton now leads the Supersport championship by the slenderest of margins, just one point of Seeley.

Seton Yamaha's Graeme Gowland took fifth ahead of Richard Cooper and Glenn Irwin. Profile Triumph teammates, Luke Mossey and Luke Stapleford, were eighth and ninth, with Scott Smart rounding out the top ten. CF Motorsport's Jake Dixon secured his seventh cup victory of the year, making up for a crash yesterday.
