MotoGP Assen: Bautista given grid penalty for Lorenzo crash

Bautista (19) is still accelerating while all around him are on the brakes

San Carlo Honda's Alvaro Bautista will start the Sachsenring MotoGP round from the back of the grid as a penatly for nerfing Jorge Lorenzo off at the start of today's Assen race.

The Spanish rider came from the third row and tried to stick up the inside of everyone, lost the front and collected Lorenzo on his way into the gravel trap. Bautista's team appealed the decision but the FIM stewards threw it out.
