Repsol Honda's Marc Marquez got away with just a sore neck in this monster highside at turn two in today's opening MotoGP free practice session at the Sachsenring.

The reigning champion had just exited turn one and as he flicked to the left-hand side of the tyre for the second corner and asked for some power, the rear let go like there was no traction control available and he was pinged into the clouds before landing awkwardly on his neck.

Marquez, being young and a good bouncer, returned to his garage and set the sixth-fastest time for the session but was tentative with the throttle through the first sector...
