Doodson Honda's Robbin Harms has been ruled out of this weekend's MCE British Superbike round at Brands Hatch as a result of the injuries he sustained in a race-two crash at Snetterton.

The Danish rider was collected by Jon Kirkham's errant BMW early on in the second outing and although Harms walked away from the crash, he suffered a badly broken wrist and other fractures in his hand.

He underwent an operation that included fitting a metal plate to secure the displaced bones plus the addition of bone substitute to help repair where the bone had been 'smashed to dust'. He subsequently returned home to Denmark.

“It's good to be back home safe after good treatment in the hospital. I’ve talked with some doctors here and the plan is to put the arm in a full cast within the next week and keep it in for three to four weeks," said Harms.

"Then it’s all about how fast I can come back on the bike depending on the strength of the arm. The injury comes at the worst time possible. Returning to the tracks I’m familiar and with the bike working well."
