Carmelo Ezpeleta, the boss of MotoGP commericla rights holder Dorna, has put forward an official proposal for a one-make tyre rule in the blue riband class, it has been revealed.
At a meeting of the Grand Prix Commission, Ezpeleta is reported to have said that there needs to be some kind of agreement between the tyre manufacturers as some teams have stated they are not competitive on their current rubber.
It is an initial proposal that must be ratified by the FIM, IRTA and the MSMA and more decision talks are due to be had at the Sepang GP in Malaysia.
