Details of next year’s Ducati 848 Challenge have been released with the championship running over eight rounds in 2013 including a trip to Assen in September.
The prize fund will recognise the top three finishers in the championship with the overall champion awarded a £5,000 cash prize, a Ducati Panigale Superstock test and entry into the National Superstock 1000 class for 2014.
The runner-up will receive an entry into the 2014 Ducati 848 Challenge, three MSV Circuit track/test days, and a Ducati leather suit, gloves and boots whilst an entry into the 2014 Ducati 848 Challenge and two MSV Circuit track/test days will be won by the third placed rider.
In order to recognise upcoming racing talent there will also be an award for the best under 23-year-old rookie*, who will win a Ducati leather suit, gloves and boots.
There will be a new leaderboard introduced for the 2013 season to recognise the involvement of the Ducati dealerships nationwide. The Overall Dealer Award will feature at each round of the Challenge and a Trophy will be presented to the leading dealer-supported entrant.
At each event along with race trophies there will also be Pirelli-supported tyre prizes awarded to the riders with the highest combined points scores from races at that round whilst Ducati will also recognise the overall round winner with a pair of Sunday hospitality passes for the following round.
“The Ducati 848 Challenge has grown into a popular, established one-make series and this will continue into the 2013 season. Working closely with Ducati UK we have been able to offer a new, competitive package for riders, giving them the opportunity to race with an iconic manufacturer at some of the best UK circuits, plus the opportunity to feature on the Assen event programme," said BSB top man Stuart Higgs.
