Riders BMW man Martin Jessopp took another Macau Grand Prix podium at the Guia circuit nabbing third place in the final laps after a scrap with Michael Rutter but said that winner Stuart Easton made them all look a bit silly.
Jessopp started down in eighth place after a technical problem in qualifying but fought his way through to twice pass Rutter before having to settle for third, some 14.5s behind Easton after 12 laps.
“We put on a good show. We had a fuse go on the bike yesterday and that cost us as we had to start way back on the grid. It was good fun, a good battle and we thought we might as well take it to Michael, me and Gary [Johnson], but Stuart’s made us all look a bit silly today,” said Jessopp.
