Mar-Train Yamaha’s Dean Harrison escaped injury in a big crash in the eventually-abandoned Superstock race one at the Vauxhall North West 200 but said he has learned a lot about the new R1 over the last five days.
Harrison got spat over the highside on the exit of York Corner while Horst Saiger and Stephen Thompson got caught up in the aftermath.
“I’ve never had much luck at the North West 200 and I made sure that continued by jumping off the superstock bike this morning. Really frustrated with myself for that as it ruined any chance of us getting a good result. We learnt a lot about the new bikes this week though so we can move onto the TT in a good frame of mind,” he said.
