2017 Ulster GP: Supertwin win for Lintin by 0.024s

Ivan Lintin won a thrilling Supertwins race at the Ulster Grand Prix, outdragging last year’s winner Dan Cooper on the run to the line to get the verdict by just 0.024s.

Once James Cowton dropped back, it became a straight two-horse race between the two and it looked like Cooper had done enough when he went through at Tournagrough on the fifth and final lap and successfully held off Lintin’s challenge through the Quarry Bends.

However, Lintin got a superb run out of the final corner to go round the outside of Cooper and just edge him out thus taking his third Ulster GP victory. Adam McLean came through for third with Derek Sheils, Christian Elkin and Cowton rounding out the top six. Newcomer Jonathan Perry had a good ride into seventh ahead of Paul Jordan.
