Rumour currently firing round the British Superbike paddock states that former World Superbike man Mark Aitchison has made a shock switch to the Splitlath Aprilia team after only one race with Quattro Kawasaki.

The Australian scored in a point in race one at Oulton Park but then had to sit out both of Sunday's outings due to not having an engine to go in his ZX-10R. Not happy with the situation, he has apparently accepted an approach from the Splitlath team and will ride for them at Brands Hastch this weekend.
