Gearlink Kawasaki’s Ben Wilson has been deemed unfit to take part in both Motorpoint British Supersport races at Brands Hatch this weekend, after he damaged his ankle during a crash in qualifying.

The Boston rider fell coming out of Clark Curve in very wet conditions, earlier this afternoon and was sent straight to the medical centre to be assessed.

The rider was hoping to be declared fit to race, and is currently fourth in the overall championship standings, but medical staff at the circuit said his injuries were too severe to take part in any further race action this weekend.
