GSX-R TROPHY HEADS TO ANGLESEY THIS WEEKEND

The R&G Racing Suzuki GSX-R600 Trophy has only got three rounds left to run and decide who will be the 2009 Champion. Battle will recommence on 1st-2nd August at Anglesey in Wales where the beautiful costal track is sure to challenge the regulars.

The runaway series leader Ross Connolly, who has won five out of seven races, will be heading out to dominate this round as he has done previously. He didn’t have it all his own way at the last round at Donington Park as his title rival, Mark Cheetham, stole a win from him.

This was Cheetham’s first win of the season and certainly will go a long way to boosting his confidence ahead of the Anglesey round. The 1.2 mile National track  is sure to produce superb racing as the top two continue to bash fairings.

Ross Richards, a Trophy regular, is currently holding onto a healthy third place whilst new comer Duncan Bedwell is in fourth place. He is just four points ahead of Trophy veteran Chris Hawkes and with a few rounds to go there are still plenty of points to be scored and positions to be achieved.

The eighth round of the R&G Racing Suzuki GSX-R600 Trophy will take place at Anglesey on the 1st-2nd August. For further information please visit www.gsxrtrophy.co.uk.
