Gearlink and Wilson set to step up to British Superbikes

Ben Wilson and the Gearlink Kawasaki team will step up to the MCE British Superbike Championship in 2014 after spending the last few seasons in British Supersport.

It will be Wilson's second foray into the blue riband class but his team are not leaving Supersport behind - they will field Luke Hedger and Glenn Irwin in the series.

"I'm so excited about moving up into the MCE BSB class for the 2014 season and I would like to thank Michael and Norma from Gearlink and Ross Burridge, Race co-ordinator, KMUK for this opportunity," said Wilson.

"My leg is fully healed now and I'm already out and back training, it's a new challenge and goal for me and something I am really looking forward to. I have been in the Supersport class for five years now and it's time for me to move up and have a really good go at it. I will be 100% focussed on the job in hand and I hope between us we are more than capable of being competitive and getting some good results."
