Jerez Moto3 test: Kent fastest on day one

British Moto3 racer Danny Kent has set the fastest time on the opening day of testing at Jerez, beating Alberto Moncayo to top spot by three-tenths of a second with experienced German Sandro Cortese, who is the Briton's team-mate, in third.

Kent put in a 1'48.4s lap on his Ajo Red Bull KTM four-stroke with Aspar's Moncayo on a 1'48.7 while Cortese managed a 1'49.3. Danny Webb, who has continued with the Mahindra into 2012, was ninth-equal with Efren Vasquez on a 1'50.9. A number of teams refused to give times...
