Samsung Honda's Michael Laverty has upped the British Superbike testing pace again at Snetterton, knocking time off his previous best set at the track last week to record a fastest lap of 1'48.5s in almost perfect conditions today.
The Irishman, who was also close to lap record pace at Brands Hatch yesterday, has back-to-back tested a Honda kit swingarm and a GB-fabricated version today, going half a second faster with the HRC item as it gives better edge grip coming out of corners.
"I'm pretty happy with where are after today and we have another two days at Cadwell next week. We tried the kit swingarm today and immediately found half a second because I prefer the way the bike is getting out of corners with it," said Laverty, speaking to bikesportnews.com at Snetterton.
