Factory Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi has branded Spanish MotoGP rider Alvaro Bautista ‘very stupid’ after the pair nearly came together for a second race in a row on the entry to turn one at Barcelona today.
Bautista lost the front of his Gresini Honda as he tried to go up the inside of Rossi on the first lap and nearly collected The Doctor just two weeks after they clashed and crashed out on lap one of the Mugello race.
"For me, the behaviour of Bautista is not very clever. In Mugello, he did a mistake and fuck my whole Grand Prix and we were this close to have a big pain. But, you know, one mistake can happen. He cut the line and I was already there, so he did a mistake and say he don’t see me. Unfortunately, one time can happen," said Rossi.
"But doing the same in the next race, another time with me, is very stupid I think. He try an impossible braking and fortunately I release the brake and I go wide. If not, we crash together also today. It was a useless overtake because I was a lot faster than him and we were in the right position.
"For me, when Bautista see me, Lorenzo and also the other top guys he become a little bit crazy. Last year with Lorenzo, in Valencia in 2011 with me, and in Mugello with me it is like he have to demonstrate that he is better than us.
"What’s happen today can also happen, but two time in a row, another time with me, is not very clever I think."
