Valentino Rossi’s Ducati MotoGP bikes will the headlining act at a classic bike festival at Donington Park over the weekend of August 11 alongside Loris Capirossi’s Desmosedici.
Organised by former GP star Colin Seeley to raise money for the Joan Seeley Pain Relief Memorial Trust, the event will be three days of spectacular action focusing on the ‘Glorious Eras of Grand Prix Racing’, especially the 60’s and late 70’s so expect to see Honda, Gilera and MV multis, plus the “Best of British” including Manx Nortons, Matchless G50s, AJS 7Rs and much more; from an era when Mike Hailwood, Giacomo Agostini and Phil Read dominated.
Top of the bill will be two MotoGP Ducatis, one of which will be running, the Norton Rotaries which raced at this year’s TT, a Britten plus a plethora of classic, exotic race bikes most of which will turn a wheel on track.
