Eunan McGlinchey snatched the Dickies Junior Supersport spoils today after conquering a three-horse race for victory.
The Northern Irishman had to contend with Elliot Pinson and Brian Hart for the entirety of the two races, but came out on top both times by just a handful of tenths.
KTM UK Junior Team rider Hart grabbed the early lead and immediately stretched an advantage, pulling 1.2s over Pinson and McGlinchey, who were scrapping for second over 1.6s clear of championship runner-up Kade Verwey.
But Pinson and McGlinchey soon caught up to Hart and eclipsed him on lap seven, pushing the Spaniard back to third.
It was a three-horse race as the laps wound down but with just a few corners to go, Hart squeezed by at Brooklands before McGlinchey drafted back ahead over the line to pinch the win by 0.013s.
Today’s second race was a repeat performance as the trio blasted into the lead early on, but when it counted, Team #109’s McGlinchey was in front as he bagged his sixth win of the season ahead of Hart and Pinson.
But Pinson was promoted to second, also his sixth of the season, after Hart was slapped with a one position penalty for overtaking under yellow flags at turn five.
