Successful return to action for Cummins at Southern 100

Tyco Suzuki's Conor Cummins made a successful return to action at this year's Southern 100 after a broken hand ruled him out of the entire 2012 Isle of Man TT race-week.

Cummins was tangled up in a crash with Gary Johnson at the North West with the resulting injuries meaning he was ruled out of action for most of the TT until the Senior, which ended up being cancelled. The Manxman managed five podiums during the Southern 100 and a fastest lap.

“It was great to be back racing and more importantly great to be back mixing it at the sharp end. No complaints, both bikes were flying and I really enjoyed the scraps with Michael and the other boys. It sets me up well now for Armoy in a couple of week’s time. Thanks to the Tyco Suzuki boys for a huge effort this week and all my personal sponsors for their support," said the Ramsey man.
