Factory Kawasaki's Tom Sykes has marmalised the World Superbike testing pack on day two at Motorland Aragon, using a soft tyre to go a full second ahead of both team-mate Joan Lascorz and the works BMW of Leon Haslam.

Sykes was already well under Carlos Checa's fastest race lap from the track in 2011 on yesterday's pace but he was a further half second quicker than last year's pole position time of 1'57.634, set by Marco Melandri on the Yamaha.
