Former World Superbike team boss Jack Valentine will join Lee Costello's Halsall Racing team for the remainder of the 2013 MCE British Superbike season after spending the weekend with them at Snetterton.

The forthright Lancastrian, who ran his own MV Agusta squad at the North West 200 and Isle of Man TT this year, will take on the role of manager for the rest of the year after talks with owner Martin Halsall.

“I met with Martin and the team at Snetterton and I was impressed with both the set-up of the squad and the Kawasaki. We can all work together to move the team up the leader board as they have big potential and we saw last weekend at Snetterton that Lee can make big steps forward in one weekend," said Valentine.

"For me personally it was nice to be back in the BSB paddock and myself and Martin have already been looking at how we can develop the Superbike project further for the remainder of this season and also in the future.”
