World Superbike bosses today confirmed that technical regulations for the championship will change to their new Evo-spec in 2015.
The rules change means that all teams will be forced to run very little engine tuning and run kit electronics but will be able to use full current-spec chassis and cycle parts subject to price caps on components.
The move comes some years after British Superbikes also made a successful change but has not gone as far as the domestic series and won't impose a spec-ECU.
On a more positive note, it should see the return of wildcards to WSBK rounds held in Britain.
