World Superbike news, gossip and intrigue

BMW's Leon Haslam has been linked with a switch back his old Alstare Suzuki team next year but they could be a Kawasaki team in 2012 after boss Francis 'Fanny' Batta is reportedly in talks with the big green machine. That won't please Paul Bird very much.

Speaking of Bird, one of his riders Chris Vermuelen has said he wouldn't mind switching to a Ducati next year. And Noriyuki Haga has said the same thing. Not surprising really, as it will be new and very, very fast with its big engine advantage.

That might liven things up a bit. And save everyone about a quarter of a million quid...

Both Chaz Davies and Gino Rea should be looking for a WSB ride next season and the former's manager, American Bob Moore, was sniffing around the Brno paddock to see what he could secure.
