Andrew Irwin switches to Gearlink Kawasaki in British Supersport

Andrew Irwin has switched to the Gearlink Kawasaki British Supersport squad for the remainder of the 2016 season after leaving the Appleyard Yamaha team.

Irwin, who has ridden the Ninja ZX-6R in previous seasons in the National Superstock class, is up for the challenge and hopes to improve on his already impressive form in 2016.

Irwin’s older brother, Glenn, rode for the Gearlink team in 2015, so he is more than familiar with how the team operates and will be a great team mate for Mason Law. It is hoped the two will push each other forward for podiums and race wins.

“This season has been a tough one so far, but I really feel we turned a corner at Snetterton. I believe that Andrew will be a great addition to the team and will be straight at the sharp end as we move to Thruxton for round six next weekend,” said team owner Michael De Bidaph.
