Assen BSB: Reeves doubles into sidecar title chase

Tim Reeves and Gregory Cluze completed a comfortable penultimate round winning double in the Hyundai Heavy Industries British Sidecar championship as they headed off the challenge of the series leading Ricky Stevens and Ryan Charlwood in each of the races.

There are now 47 points between the two crews as they head into the final showdown at Brands Hatch where in both races, double points are at stake, meaning 100 points to be played for, adding another twist to the title race.

Pole starter Reeves led throughout the opening race to take the victory by 9.089secs from Stevens with Chris Walker/Ashley Hawes running third ahead of the local crew, and Dutch Championship contenders Streur and Koerts.

Reeves again took control of the second race, taking the flag 10.342secs clear of Stevens with Streur running third ahead of Ben Holland/Lee Watson with Walker back in fifth.
