Brands BSB: Easton, Buchan declared unfit for race two

PBM Kawasaki’s Stuart Easton and Be Wiser Kawasaki’s Danny Buchan will not take part in the final MCE British Superbike race at Brands Hatch, after sustaining injuries during big crashes in the opening race this afternoon.

Easton has an ankle injury and is currently undergoing x-rays, and Buchan is suffering from concussion.

The Scotsman experience a fast-paced crash going into Hawthorns and was taken to the medical centre for further assessment.

Buchan was involved in a tussle with Honda Racing’s Jason O’Halloran and RAF Reserves BMW’s Peter Hickman. The trio all came together on only the first lap in race one at Paddock Hill, bringing an early end to the Essex lad’s race weekend at his home track.

Elsewhere James Rose will not start race two after he crashed in the opening session and Joe Burns is also sitting out proceedings due to a technical problem with his ZX-10R.
