Brands BSB: Mackenzie takes back to back Stock 600 wins

Stauff Connect Academy’s Tarran Mackenzie secured his second career Pirelli National Superstock 600 win just a fortnight after picking up his first.

The Scotsman was pushed all the way by German born Aussie Ben Currie but a last lap dive secured the victory for the vertically challenged rider.

Mackenzie pushed his way past Currie on the last lap to take back the lead and despite Currie tucking in behind on the run to the line, Mackenzie held on by just 0.047 of a second.

Northern Irishman Andrew Irwin ended up in a lonely third place, ahead of the championship leader Mason Law.

Law managed to fight off both Malachi Mitchell-Thomas and Ross Twyman in the closing stages to keep hold of first place in the championship.

Bradley Ray ended in seventh place after fading backwards in the final laps. He came through ahead of former Motostar champion Joe Francis.

Rounding out the top ten was Dan Stamper and Geordie lad Chrissy Rouse.
