Came BPT Yamaha’s James Westmoreland snatched Dickies British Supersport victory from the hands of Luke Jones on the last lap to take full advantage of a crashing Tarran Mackenzie.

Westmoreland started the race from pole position but made a disastrous start falling back to eighth before the red flag came out and a restart ordered.

The re-run saw FAB Racing’s Brad Ray take the holeshot and he held the lead for the majority of the race before running on after a big moment at Stirlings and ending his race prematurely.

In the closing moments it eventually came down to Mackenzie and Jones, with Westmoreland half a second back but closing. Jones took the lead from Mackenzie before the Acumen Triumph man replied with a move of his own.

Then as the duo flicked through Sheene Curve, with Mackenzie on the outside, the WD40 Kawasaki man tucked the front and ended in the gravel, allowing Westmoreland the opportunity to close in.

As they took the last lap flag, Westmoreland dived through on Jones at Paddock Hill Bend and despite Jones trying to fight back, it was Westmoreland who took the chequered flag by 0.076 of a second.

Heading to Cadwell Park, Mackenzie still holds the championship lead but in a rollercoaster weekend it grew from one point to 31 before being slashed back down to just six.

A long and hard battle for the final podium place eventually went the way of Gearlink Kawasaki’s Mason Law who got the better of EHA Racing’s David Allingham.

CF Motorsport’s Ben Currie took fifth ahead of Quattro Plant Kawasaki’s Andy Reid, who despite changing an engine overnight was still unable to emulate his performances from the last round.

Joe Francis took a lonely seventh place before Jamie Perrin, Sam Coventry and Sam Wilford rounded out the top ten.
