Brookes makes it three wins from five races at Aussie superbike final

Bringelly’s Josh Brookes took three wins from five races as he stood in for Ben Burke at the Australian FX-Superbike finale run at Sydney Motorsport Park.

The former MCE BSB champ added to his pole and race win from Friday with two further victories today but was slowed in one race by a duff tyre and was nerfed off the SA Kawasaki BCperformance on Friday.

“It was areat weekend with a great bunch of people. Thanks to Kelvin at BCperformance and all the sponsors for getting me on the grid for my first Australian domestic racing in 11 years. It was always going to be some pressure to do a one-off race weekend on someone else's bike and be expected to win, so to take three race wins and the overall weekend win was a great achievement.

“I really enjoyed racing Eastern Creek again, it's probably one of my favourite tracks and I've always believed Australia produces a high level of riders, so this weekend only confirmed this is still the case. I hope racing in Australia can get the support it needs to develop and create a platform for young riders to have a future.”
