Former MCE British Superbike Champion Josh Brookes will stand in for the injured Ben Burke at next weekend’s Australasian Superbike season finale.
The Bringelly rider, who has yet to finalise his 2017 plans, will race for the SA Kawasaki BCperformance team at Sydney Motorsports Park.
“Having raced the last 11 years overseas in the British and World Superbike championships I found the idea of riding locally an inviting opportunity and was happy to agree to step in. Hopefully Ben makes a speedy recovery but I’m looking forward to riding the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R. I hope riding as a one-off, back in Australia encourages people to come out and watch,” said Brookes.
