Buriram MotoGP test: Rossi still worried by electronics package

Movistar Yamaha's Valentino Rossi is still worried by an apparent gap in knowledge that he thinks exists between his team and the factory Ducati and Honda squads, and says it if doesn't get fixed at the Buriram MotoGP test it won't be sorted out for the first races.

The Doctor is pleased with the new/old chassis he has been given by Yamaha as he is now able to ride the M1 as he wants but it is still getting marmalised on corner exit by the RC213V and GP18 - both of which have brand new engines this year.

"For me the bike is better to ride. Compared to last year I feel better. The feeling is more similar to two years ago and this is very important because I suffered a lot last year, maybe more than Maverick, with the 2017 chassis," said Rossi, speaking at the track.

"But for me at this moment all the Ducatis are better in acceleration, because they are more in front compared to us in the electronic. When we moved to the Magneti Marelli for me we have some problem. For us it's difficult to understand.

"Honda and Ducati understand something we don't. So I hope that we can recover as soon as possible because at this moment we suffer.

"The good thing with the electronics is that it is not like fixing an engine, chassis or swingarm. You can fix it with a number, so you can fix it in a short time. But I'm quite worried because if we don't fix it now, I'm not optimistic to fix it by the first races."
