Morello Racing’s Danny Buchan was locked in a three-way battle for the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 victory with Chrissy Rouse and Richard Cooper, and in the end powered on ahead to take maximum points this afternoon at Cadwell Park.
It is his ninth victory of the 2017 season and he certainly had the pace today at the Lincolnshire circuit. But he did not initially grab the holeshot, that accolade went to the Bennetts backed Suzuki of Cooper.
Then Buchan and Rouse joined the party and a three-way battle started to hot up. Then on lap nine Rouse led the way, but then Buchan grabbed it back a rotation later. The ZX-10RR racer then boomed ahead down the track and at the flag had a five second advantage over Rouse who finished in second, with Cooper in third.
Mason Law and veteran superstar Michael Rutter were the top five finishers, with Josh Elliott, Adam Jenkinson, Fraser Rogers, Dean Hipwell and Jordan Weaving all ending the day inside the top ten.
