Moto Rapido Ducati’s John Hopkins will sit out both MCE British Superbike races at Cadwell Park, after damaging the ligament in his right thumb.
On Saturday the former MotoGP star had a small off at Park Corner during the second qualifying session, and before the crash he was inside the top three times in the first session and was the quickest rider in sector one in Q2.
In the second qualifying incident the American niggled an old hand injury and yesterday it was 50-50 that he would compete today. His team have thanked the BSB medical team for their quick response after his fall at the Lincolnshire circuit, where he received an x-ray before the session had even finished.
More when we get it.
