After not being able to secure a seat in either of the new Yamaha teams for WorldSSP 2017, Jules Cluzel has returned from whence he came and re-joined the CIA Insurance Honda outfit.

The Frenchman has been at MV Agusta for the past two seasons but with their plans not yet confirmed, Cluzel has opted to go back to the team with which he was runner-up in the series four years ago when it was in its PTR colours.

“I am really happy to be back on the PTR team because we achieved a really good season in 2012 and we were close to winning the title.  I am so excited to be back on the Honda bike with CIA Landlord Insurance and I believe I can be the World Champion.  This is my dream and this is my target and I think we can do it so I am really excited,” said Cluzel.
