Crocked Rabat ready to race at Sachsenring MotoGP round

Injured Moto2 world champion Tito Rabat has confirmed he will ride at this weekend’s Sachsenring MotoGP round only days after breaking his collarbone at Almeria.

The Spaniard, who wants to complete his set of podium finishes at every current MotoGP track, says his shoulder feels good but how it will be on the bike he won’t know unti; Friday morning.

“The surgery was only a few days ago but I’m back in training already and the shoulder feels good. It’s difficult to know how it will feel on the bike until I actually try it on Friday, but I think the only issue will be under hard braking and there isn’t so much of that at the Sachsenring,” he said.

“The important thing this weekend will be to manage the sessions and not put too much stress on the injury ahead of the race. Other than that the approach will be the same as every other weekend; to do our best and try to finish as high up the order as possible on Sunday. It would be nice to finish on the podium this weekend, as Sachsenring is now the only circuit on the calendar at which I haven’t achieved this in Moto2, but we will see.”
