WorldSBK’s rumour mill went into overdrive at Portimao this evening as all the teams apart from Ducati were hustled down the tunnel in readiness for an ‘exclusive’ test at the Portugese track.

Ducati’s garage and hospitality unit remained built up at the Algarve’s circuit, prompting speculation that Chaz Davies would get his hands on the new V4 Superbike - in either its 1100cc road or 1000cc R form - tomorrow.

Various spy shots have been grabbed of the bike, one particularly successful one at Misano some weeks ago. Portimao is not an easy place to get into, and access around the outside is limited by mountains and sand but we will see what we can do.
