Day of Champions bosses reveal 2017 auction bonanza

With just one week to go until Day of Champions, here are a few of the unique items you can expect to see on the day in our exclusive Two Wheels for Life live auction at Silverstone’s MotoGP round on Thursday, August 24.

Join the stars of MotoGP as they take to the main stage in the Entertainment Zone from 3pm for our famous charity auction alongside Two Wheels for Life’s co-founder Randy Mamola and the faces of BT Sport, taking you through till 8pm. It is an exclusive opportunity to buy something truly unique, including experiences and moto-memorabilia.

Some of the amazing items up for auction are listed below, but there will be lots more too, with many signed pieces being donated on the day by the teams and riders.

A 2017 Yamaha YZF-R125 supplied by CMC Motorcycles in a combination of Yamaha’s MotoGP™ team and the Yamaha Tech3 team livery.

A unique custom-made electric guitar, signed by MotoGP's Maverick Viñales. The guitar, which is styled in Movistar Yamaha colours was handmade and donated by professional guitar manufacturer David Aura.

To make sure that you have a chance to win one of these amazing auction lots, make sure that you come along on the day. Tickets for the Entertainment Zone are £15 pre-booked (£18 on the day) which includes access to the Two Wheels for Life charity auction.

The gates open at 9am and there will be entertainment throughout including live music from El Duderino and incredible stunt displays from Dougie Lampkin MBE.  Julian Ryder will be interviewing the stars of the sport and Keith Huewen will reveal the stories of the ‘Unsung Heroes’ of MotoGP. New for 2017 - Matt Roberts & Michael Hill will host ‘Inside Moto’ when YOU ask the questions of our guest riders. And, just before the auction starts, the selected riders of Dorna’s first-ever British Talent Cup will take to the stage at 2.30pm.
