Donington BSB: Currie destroys competition in Supersport sweep

Ben Currie gave a master class in today's Dickies British Supersport feature battle as he commanded the field to take his second win of the weekend with 24 seconds to spare.

The Gearlink Kawasaki rider was in control from the very first corner, speeding ahead of team-mate James Westmoreland and Jack Kennedy before the Irishman pipped Westy heading down the Dunlop straight.

But Currie was half way to Derby at the end of lap one, crossing the line nearly six seconds ahead of Integro Yamaha's Kennedy as SGR Racing's Tom Oliver slotted into third.

And there was nothing anyone could do as the Australian took the race victory with a 24.328s lead over Kennedy and Tom Oliver.

His double win this weekend means Currie leads the points with a perfect 50, with Kennedy's two second place finishes giving him 40 ahead of Oliver on 29.
