Donington BSB test: Giugliano feeling positive in the wet

Tyco BMW’s newest recruit Davide Giugliano spent the MCE British Superbike test at Donington Park preparing himself for the typical British weather, venturing out in the wet and cold conditions this afternoon.

The Italian waspleased with how he felt onboard the S1000RR in the rain, and used the sessions today to get accustomed to what he might experience next week at the opening round.

Giugliano was in the World Superbike championship on the Ducati Panigale last year, and now he has switched race series and manufacturer, and for him the biggest difference is the electronics.

But one thing that he hopes does improve is the track temperature which topped out at eight degrees in Leicestershire.

“For me these conditions are OK, I like more the rain conditions. The big problem is the temperature is low, but that is the same for all the riders. For the moment the feeling with my BMW is very good," said Giugliano, speaking to bikesportnews.com at the track.

“I think it is not possible to compare bikes, as BMW in British Superbike I don’t have the electronics and it is not possible to compare a World Superbike bike. I like more this bike and for my style I think it is good.”
