Foggy backs Haslam, Rea for Donington WSBK wins

Four-time World Superbike Champion and King of the Jungle Carl Fogarty has predicted Jonathan Rea and Leon Haslam will be scrapping it out for wins at this weekend’s Donington Park round.

The ex-Ducati man, who won I’m A Celebrity in the winter, thinks both races will be dominated by British riders but singled out Rea and Haslam as the main protagonists.

“I’m sure the top four or five riders in both races will be British. It’s great to see so many Brits able to win races! Fans going to Donington for the World Superbikes can be almost assured of British domination. These are the best riders Britain has to offer and they’re absolutely dominant at the moment in World Superbikes,” said Fogarty.

“I’m a big fan of Jonathan Rea and now he’s on a bike that can win races, he’s really showing what he is capable of. Leon Haslam is the local hero and I think they will be in the top-two, but I’m not sure in which order! It’s going to be very tight and exciting I’m sure.”
