Leon Haslam has made his return to action at the Jerez WorldSBK just five weeks after suffering a massive crash at the Brands Hatch British Superbike finale.
The Derbyshire rider put in a couple of race runs at the Andalucian track today, including a best lap of 1'41.2, as he eases his way back into riding but is pretty certain he will be sore in the morning.
"I'm really happy with today. I managed a couple of race runs and we tested everything we needed to, plus got in a decent laptime. My ankle, wrist and thumb are going to be sore and I think I will be sleeping in an ice bath," he said.
