Hutchinson pleased with progress ahead of TT 2018

Honda’s Ian Hutchinson made his return to road racing competition at the 2018 Vauxhall North West 200 almost a year after a big crash in the Senior TT almost ended his career for good.

Hutchinson has undergone another 12 months of surgeries in order to be fit for TT 2018 and is pleased with the progress made last weekend and the Bingley man is now comfortable with the Fireblade he will race on the island in two weeks.

“We’ve got a lot of positives to be had from a successful North West 200 and the results at the end of the week show the progress we’ve made with the set-up of the bike and also for my return to racing,” said Hutchinson.

“The team and I have worked a lot on the set-up of the Fireblade to find a good feeling and in the final race I felt comfortable with the package we have. We can now turn our focus to the TT, where we hope to continue building the good work and getting up into sharp end.”
