Ducati Corse boss Gigi Dall'Igna has confirmed the new Panigle V4 racebike will not be available for testing until the end of the season for the works team and even later for customer outfits.

Dall'Igna said he is pleased with the way the bike has performed in the hands of Lorenzo Zanetti and the bike is right where it needs to be in its development schedule but season end will be the first testing opportunity for Chaz Davies and Marco Melandri, should they both sign.

"We are developing now the bike, so I think around the end of the season, depending on the results. We have a good development programme with the bike and this is the most important thing," said Dall'Igna, speaking at Imola today.

"We are working on the WorldSBK bike at the moment but for sure the national championship are important for Ducati, and the British is one of the most important so for sure I hope we will supply the bike as soon as possible."
